The Cynosure PicoSure laser at Seoul Cosmetic in Upper Mount Gravatt Our PicoSure at Seoul Cosmetic
Why $249? Honestly? Most people only find a pigment laser after years of trying everything else first. We release 5 introductory appointments a week at $249 so new clients can start with the right tool instead of ending with it. No catch, no course requirement.
The loop

Here's how this usually goes for everyone else.

Right now, somewhere in Brisbane, someone is standing in a skincare aisle starting a journey that takes most people years - while the Queensland sun keeps adding to the problem. It has three chapters, and they almost always run in the same order.

Chapter one The serum shelf.

It starts with one brightening serum. Then a second brand, because the first "needed more time". Then the one a friend swore by. Each takes eight to twelve weeks to judge, so a year quietly disappears three bottles at a time - all of it working at the surface while the pigment sits deeper than any bottle reaches.

Chapter two The treatment roulette.

Next come the facials and peels. They feel wonderful, the skin looks fresh for a week, and they're usually sold in packs of three. Then maybe a course of light treatments - closer to the mark, but broad light in long pulses is still not a tool built to pick out individual pigment.

Chapter three Someone finally says "PicoSure".

Eventually a clinician mentions a picosecond pigment laser. The thing built for exactly this job. It usually comes up last, after the money is spent - not because it was hiding, but because nobody starts at the end of the ladder.

You just skipped to chapter three. Not because you're smarter than everyone in chapters one and two - because this page reached you before the serum aisle did. The tool most people find last, you found first. That's the lucky part. The $249 intro price is just the bonus.
What the laser actually does

It breaks up the pigment. Your body clears it.

Sun spots and age spots are clusters of brown pigment sitting in your skin. Here is the whole idea in three steps.

1 Target The laser locks onto brown pigment.

PicoSure's 755nm wavelength is strongly absorbed by brown pigment. Nothing is cut - this is a non-ablative treatment.

2 Shatter Ultra-fast pulses break it apart.

Pulses measured in picoseconds - trillionths of a second - are designed to break pigment into tiny fragments with a pressure effect, rather than relying on slow heat.

3 Fade Your body clears the fragments.

Over the following weeks, treated spots can darken briefly, then gradually fade or flake away as the skin clears the broken-up pigment.

The point of all of it: less pigment sitting in the skin means less to see - and less to cover. Concealer hides a spot for a day. This is designed to break the spot itself apart so your skin can clear it.
Cynosure PicoSure ✓ ARTG 114470

This is the machine, and this is its number. The laser used for this treatment is a genuine Cynosure PicoSure, included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods under ARTG 114470. The ARTG is the public list of medical devices that can lawfully be supplied in Australia, and anyone can search it.

PicoSure was the first picosecond laser built for aesthetic treatment. The whole "pico" category grew out of it.

Search the register yourself at tga.gov.au · ARTG 114470
Not all pico is PicoSure

"Pico" is a speed. PicoSure is a machine.

Pico just means picosecond - how fast a laser pulses. Lots of devices can be advertised as a "pico laser", which is why a cheap pico deal and a branded PicoSure treatment can look identical in an ad. They aren't the same thing.

1 Ask What's the make and model?

Not "a pico laser". The actual brand and model name of the device that will be used on your face.

2 Ask What's its ARTG number?

Medical devices supplied in Australia are listed on a public register. A clinic should be able to give you the number and let you check it.

3 Ask Who is operating it?

In Queensland, anyone using a cosmetic laser needs a licence to do it. It's a fair question to ask.

Our answers, before you book: genuine Cynosure PicoSure. ARTG 114470. Operated by a licensed laser practitioner. All three are on this page so you can check them from your phone right now.

Do the maths

The expensive part is finding this.

Put a price on the loop from earlier. Here's what those three chapters typically cost the people living them.

1
The serum shelf.

One brand, then another, then a third. Months per bottle, working at the surface while the pigment sits deeper.

$40-$90
a bottle
2
The facials and peels.

Lovely for the skin. Often sold in threes. Still not a tool built to reach pigment sitting in the skin.

$120-$250
a session
3
The course of light treatments.

Broad light in long pulses, several sessions. Closer - but a less selective tool for individual pigment.

$150-$350
a session
Common spend before ever reaching a pigment laser: $500-$1,000+
✓
You get to skip the queue.

You found the tool built for the job first: genuine PicoSure, once, on your whole face, with a suitability check before anything happens.

$249
once
$151
Off the usual price.

Full-face PicoSure is usually $400 at Seoul Cosmetic. New clients pay $249. That's $151 that stays in your pocket.

$550+
What branded PicoSure usually costs.

Single full-face PicoSure treatments at Brisbane clinics are commonly priced from around $550 up to $800.

$0
Nothing else to buy.

No bundle, no course, no membership. The loop is the thing you're skipping, not the thing you're buying.

Serum, facial and light-treatment figures are typical Australian retail and clinic price ranges, not quotes for any specific product or provider. Brisbane PicoSure pricing is based on publicly listed single full-face prices at Brisbane clinics, October 2026. Your past spend may differ.

What actually happens

Your full-face PicoSure appointment.

No mystery. No complicated treatment-day process. This is what you are actually booking.

1

Check the pigment first

Your skin, pigment and recent sun exposure are checked for suitability before treatment begins.

2

Numb, then full-face PicoSure

Numbing cream goes on first for comfort. Then the Cynosure PicoSure, ARTG 114470, treats the whole face.

3

Aftercare, then you are done

You leave with clear instructions on sun protection, heat, skincare and what to expect afterward.

What will my face look like

What the next two weeks may look like.

Response varies by person, pigment and treatment settings, but this is the type of recovery journey you may see.

Same
day
Warmth or redness can happen.

Skin may look pink or feel warm for a period after treatment.

24-48
hours
Redness usually begins settling.

Some treated spots can temporarily look darker. Skip makeup on treated areas for the first 48 hours.

Days
3-7
Some pigment can look darker before lighter.

Depending on the treatment, spots may become temporarily dry or develop fine superficial crusting.

Days
7-14
Early change becomes easier to assess.

Some superficial treated pigment may gradually fade or shed. Not every spot follows the same timeline.

The questions people actually ask

Before you let a laser near your face.

1
Does it hurt?

Numbing cream is applied first. Even so, sensation varies - it's commonly described as quick snapping or warmth rather than completely sensation-free.

2
Is it suitable for my skin tone?

Not automatically, and we won't pretend otherwise. 755nm is strongly absorbed by pigment, which is why it works on sun spots and why deeper skin tones need careful assessment first. If PicoSure isn't right for your skin, you'll be told.

3
Is it the real PicoSure?

Yes. A genuine Cynosure PicoSure, ARTG 114470. The make and register number are on this page so you can look it up before you book.

4
What if I have a lot of pigment?

More established or widespread pigmentation can need multiple sessions. The introductory appointment lets you begin without committing to a full course upfront.

Not every brown patch is the same

The right treatment starts with the right pigment.

This offer is intentionally focused rather than pretending one laser setting treats everything.

This offer is designed around:
  • Sun spots
  • Age spots
  • Suitable uneven sun-related pigmentation
This offer is not promoted for:
  • Melasma
  • Suspicious or changing lesions
  • Guaranteed one-treatment clearance
  • Every skin type or pigment without assessment
Worth knowing before you book Laser treatment can cause temporary redness, warmth, swelling, darkening, dryness or superficial crusting. Post-inflammatory pigmentation is also possible. Careful SPF50+ use and sun avoidance around treatment are important - avoid tanning, sunbeds and fake tan in the weeks before your appointment. New, changing, irregular or suspicious pigmented lesions should be medically assessed rather than cosmetically lasered.

Quick questions

Everything you need before booking.

What exactly am I booking for $249?
A full-face PicoSure Angel Brightening treatment at Seoul Cosmetic & Laser in Upper Mount Gravatt, using a genuine Cynosure PicoSure, ARTG 114470. The usual price is $400.
Is it the real PicoSure?
Yes. It's a genuine Cynosure PicoSure, included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods under ARTG 114470. The ARTG is the public register of medical devices that can lawfully be supplied in Australia, and you can search it at tga.gov.au using that number. If you are comparing clinics, asking for the make, model and ARTG number of the device is a reasonable question to ask anywhere.
Is the whole face included?
Yes. The introductory offer is for the full face. Neck, decolletage and hands are not automatically included.
How many treatments will I need?
There is no fixed number that suits everyone. Some pigment may respond after the first treatment, while more established or widespread pigmentation can need several sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. You do not need to buy a course to access this introductory appointment.
Does PicoSure hurt?
Numbing cream is applied before treatment. Sensation still varies - it's commonly described as quick snapping or warmth rather than being completely sensation-free.
Can it make pigmentation worse?
Pigment lasers are not risk-free. Temporary darkening can occur and post-inflammatory pigmentation is possible. Skin tone, pigment type, recent sun exposure and settings all matter, which is why suitability is checked first and sun protection afterward is important.
Is it suitable for every skin tone?
Not automatically. PicoSure's 755nm wavelength is strongly absorbed by pigment, so deeper skin tones need careful assessment and may not be suitable for this treatment. Your skin is checked before anything happens, and if PicoSure isn't the right option for you, you'll be told.
Can I wear makeup afterward?
Avoid makeup on treated areas for 48 hours, and follow the aftercare advice you receive at your appointment. If the skin is red, dry or crusted, avoid covering or irritating those areas until they have settled.
Is this treatment for melasma?
No. This $249 introductory offer is not being promoted as a melasma treatment.
I have already tried creams, peels or IPL. Can I still book?
Yes, previous treatment does not automatically determine whether PicoSure is suitable now. Suitability still depends on the type of pigmentation being treated and your skin.
Why is it $249 instead of $400?
$249 is Seoul Cosmetic's introductory new-client price for this offer. Five introductory appointments are released each week so new clients can experience the treatment before deciding whether they want any further sessions.
How does the deposit work?
A small deposit through Timely reserves your appointment. The rest is due at treatment. Timely shows the exact deposit, payment and cancellation terms before you confirm.
Where is Seoul Cosmetic?
Seoul Cosmetic & Laser is at 5 Cremin Street, Upper Mount Gravatt, Brisbane. Your appointment details are shown when you continue through to Timely.
